About The Artist

I have lived most of my life in Santa Barbara, CA. I came here at age five in 1946.

I had art teachers that encouraged creativity and never told me I could not paint my roses blue.

Music was a vital part of the arts in grade school. My teachers taught me to see colors and lines as I listened to many types of music. These lines and colors were then created on paper.

I am a member of Los Padres Watercolor Society and the Santa Barbara Art Association.
My work has been shown at various venues in the Santa Barbara area.

As I progressed through the school system I included art classes in my curriculum. As an adult, I continue taking classes through the Santa Barbara Adult Education Program. Being a Docent at the Santa Barbara Art Museum in the 1980's brought art history alive as I toured the exhibits and took slide programs to the grade schools.
